Captain's Log, Stardate 75440.9

Captain's Log, Stardate 75440.9.

USS Shutsugun remains docked at the Kingdom of Eden in orbit of Beerax IX where several members of the crew and myself have attended the opening ceremony of the station. We await the arrival of Lorian Darin, Minister of State, whom we will be escorting back to Spacedock. Our stay there will be brief before proceeding to the former location of the Delcamaria system to investigate the repercussions of the system's destruction.

Aron E. Amadeus,
Captain, Exploration Command
Commanding Officer, USS Shutsugun NCC-81410

Personal Log - Cardenio Ricordati - Stardate 75240.21

My first week on the Shutsugun - many preconceived notions about life aboard a starship have been completely thrown out the window, but I must say I am enjoying the comraderie of my shipmates. I've mostly been interacting with the Junior Grade Leftenants and the Ensigns, who are quite a diverse bunch.

While awaiting further orders from Starfleet Command regarding our specific assignment, USS Shutsugun continues to temporarily augment the border patrol. I have left discretion of these patrols to my first officer, Commander Reed-Maguire. So far, we have not encountered further signs of Borg activity within Galaxy Alliance space.

We have arrived at Deep Space 9 after an extended stay in Alpha Lyncis, out of which we operated for several weeks while participating in routine patrol routes. Our stop at Deep Space 9 is a layover - albeit brief - before we proceed to our next patrol. While our stop is short, I am pleased to offer the crew the luxuries that the station has to offer.

Personal Log, Tor Landi. January 16th, 2397

The screen activates and shows a Bajoran man in his early thirties sitting in very spartan quarters. The rather utilitarian nature of his cabin is contrast starkly by the fine threads he's wearing.

"Stuck at Milan Station," he says, taking the occasional sip from a beverage. "They appear to have problems with their cargo management system, so it's going to be a short while until I can unload the 19,000 tons of crafts material and move on to the next spot of this trading run. The run itself has been rather unremarkable."

I spent last evening meeting with newly assigned engineer Commander Teelis Tei. I found her to be a strict observer of protocol. She seems to be a most impressive officer, one whom I am proud to welcome aboard. Yet, I have been most concerned about the reasons behind her transfer and what to do with her now that she's here.

Campaign Speech

The image of Governor Trent L'vralus fades into view. "My fellow citizens," he addresses in a pleasant and calm bass-baritone voice, "It is a tremendous honor to be able to address you all."

The view shifts to a desolate looking planet with an Alamo-class station in the distant horizon. "Several years ago, I was asked to study the plague on Beerax IX that kept all life from returning there. With an amazing team of my fellow citizens and Starfleet officers, we were able to cure the plague."

"Computer, begin recording."

The previous was said off screen, as Larel appears with a glass in her hand. She sets it down, then takes a seat.

"Stardate 74993.5? .6? Yeah. So, I learned something last night. It helps to know the right people. I mean, I'm sure everyone knows this, buuut... I can't believe Ken saved us from The Admirals. Not that I don't like them, the ones I've not had the pleasure of meeting sure seem nice, but the debates were on, and I'd already missed that gala because of that whole borg thing.

Campagin Speech

"Citizens of the Galaxy Alliance, I extend to you warmest greetings," Lishan Noryl says as his image appears on the viewer. He is seated behind a desk set just in front of a pair of windows that gives a striking view of the Bajoran countryside.
