USS Shutsugun has been assigned to augment the activities of Border Patrol in light of the recent Borg threat by the order of Admiral Lathrop. While en route to Betazed as part of our first patrol circuit, we encountered evidence of subsiding subspace distortions that were conclusive with readings following the appearance of transwarp conduits. These subspace distortions were extremely faint and continuing to subside, leaving my security chief to conclude that they may have been several days old. There were no indications of current or residual Borg signatures in the vicinity, however.
Following the completion of our patrol circuit, USS Shutsugun has returned to the Alpha Lyncis system.
