While awaiting further orders from Starfleet Command regarding our specific assignment, USS Shutsugun continues to temporarily augment the border patrol. I have left discretion of these patrols to my first officer, Commander Reed-Maguire. So far, we have not encountered further signs of Borg activity within Galaxy Alliance space.
I am also pleased to report that Commander Tei has restored Lieutenant (jg) Elric to full duty after making some modifications to his programming to prevent uncompleted subroutines from running. This should prevent any further instances like we encountered several weeks ago. My compliments to Commander Tei for seeing to this, as I am pleased to have Mr. Elric back on duty.
