With the visit concluded between Chancellor L'vralus and the Tzenkethi interim government, USS Jean-Luc Picard got underway. However, our trip to Betazed has been interrupted with the Alliance's most recent concern: the political discontent in the Beerax system. Now that our attention has been turned there, Chancellor L'vralus has decided to look into this matter at Beerax personally by making an unannounced visit in the system where he will be meeting with several key individuals. It is my home -- and his, too, I would assume -- that his familiarity with the people of Beerax will settle the malcontents.
Visiting this system in an exploratory cruiser does give me pause. However, there have been no reports of any activity beyond protests. Never-the-less, I have ordered increased security measures both for the Chancellor and for the ship. These measures should be sufficient to protect the safety of the Chancellor.
