Now that things have been able to settle down in the aftermath of the riots at Bajor's Spaceport, we've been able to discern some measure of information regarding the situation as it unfolded. The man who made an attempt to blow up or sabatoague the SS El-Auria is still within our brig pending the outcome of our investigation. Presently, there's no other option readily available as events on the surface may preemptively release him into the general population as inferred to me by the Bajoran Minister of Trade and Commerce.
Commander Richter has been ordered to contact Minister Landi to extend the offer of security arrangements, given that our information indicates we may be looking at other assailants still at large. I've asked Major LeBlanc to assist potentially in the security detail as well as some members of the Quartz Squadron who have security certification clearance.
Still, there are too many things coming together at once. These riots on Bajor and throughout the Alliance, the unexplained presence of the USS Wasp at Kopok Nor a few days ago and the investigation of who attacked Deep Space Nine. Although, I cannot deny that it all may be connected. In some manner. The timing of it all does trouble me a fair bit.
In the meantime, I have no doubt that we'll get to the bottom of this. When it rains, it pours or so the Earth saying goes. It's just a matter what's going to happen next before we reach a conclusion.
