His Eminence, Kai Lishan, contacted the Akagi from Milan Station and requested transport back to Bajor. Lieutenant Danek, Lieutenant (JG) Elric and Second Lieutenant Trinton were sent with the USS Rio Grande to escort the Kai back to Bajor. During what should have been a routine circumstance, His Eminence took ill from first accounts. On further detail, it was clear that a mysterious anaphylaxis combined with cardiac issues ailed him.
Due to discovering that immediate emergency medical assistance was necessary, I asked the USS Defiant meet the Rio Grande midway to retrieve all members and return to Bajor orbit. First aid had been administered to the Kai so that he was becoming stabilized by the Defiant's arrival.
For now, I am awaiting official reports that detail the extent of the Kai's medical situation. All indications point that this was not an accident. How far such machinations go, remain to be seen. What is known is that the Kai recently spoke out against the Alliance's decision to impose intergalactic trade tariffs because of the impact to Bajor. Furthermore, mention of the Ferengi was made among the medical staff the previously. The Kai, after all, was a counter-opponent to the Ferengi in the election for Chancellor.
Even so, there is nothing concrete that can be ascertained until seeing all the reports together.
